James Campen

BA(Hons), PGDip Architecture, PGDip Professional Practice, ARB, AABC.

James joined MAA in 2023 as a Chartered and AABC accredited Architect with 11 years of post-qualification experience on a range of projects, almost all involving listed buildings.

James has experience at all RIBA work stages, seeing projects through from feasibility to completion. He has worked on projects of varying typologies and scales, for both private and professional clients.

James has a well rounded understanding traditional building materials combined with excellent technical conservation knowledge and understanding of conservation principles. He enjoys tackling the specific and complex challenges that arise when working on historic sites, which require careful and sensitive responses, that draw on the skills of the passionate and talented people that these buildings attract.
