Leith Hill Place

The project involves repairs to the external envelope of Leith Hill Place. The mansion is Grade II* and is associated with key cultural figures, such as the Wedgewood family, Charles Darwin and Ralph Vaughan Williams, who gave the estate to the Nation Trust in 1944. It is situated on Leith Hill, one of the most prominent landmarks of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Failing roof linings and rainwater goods were enabling water ingress, resulting in localised timber rot, as well as a risk of damage to collections and interiors. The works involve re-roofing, masonry, render and external joinery repairs, redecoration of decorative elements, structural repairs, remedial and stabilisation works.
