Welcome to the Team: Ayaka Takaki, Partner

We are delighted to announce and celebrate Ayaka Takaki as part of the Martin Ashley Architects team in her role as Partner.

Ayaka joined us in May 2026 and is an accredited Specialist Conservation Architect (SCA) and Architect Accredited in Building Conservation (AABC). She brings extensive expertise in the repair and conservation of historic and listed buildings, supported by a strong understanding of the technical, regulatory and logistical complexities that these projects demand.

With a proven track record of delivering projects from inception through to completion, Ayaka is highly skilled in coordinating stakeholders and end users to ensure successful outcomes. Her portfolio includes work on a number of Grade I and Grade II* buildings, alongside high-end residential refurbishments within Conservation Areas.

Ayaka is passionate about traditional building techniques and craftsmanship, and is committed to collaborating closely with specialist craftspeople to achieve the highest quality results.

She is an active member of the Traditional Paint Forum and the ICON Historic Interiors Group, reflecting her particular interest in historic interiors and stone conservation. In addition, she contributes to the profession as an assessor on the RIBA Conservation Register Assessment Panel.
