RIBA National Award 2025 win for Sheerness Dockyard Church
Sheerness Dockyard Church wins a 2025 RIBA National Award!
From amongst the 116 regional winners, twenty projects were chosen to receive RIBA National Awards, which are given to buildings across the UK in recognition of their significant contributions to architecture.
The winners for 2025 were announced on 10 July, having been selected by the jury (members of the RIBA Awards Group), chaired by Simon Henley. Congratulating the 2025 national award winners, Henley said:
‘Each of these 20 winning projects is a powerful testament to the diversity and depth of our profession. They demonstrate how architecture is not just a creative force, but also central in addressing some of the most pressing challenges of our time.
As a profession, we now look to the past as much as the future, and to care and repair as we do to build. We continue to innovate but we also seek continuity, and in so doing to make work of every scale that is engaging and thoughtful. The power of architecture to transform society and inform our way of life is on full display in every winning project.
Martin Ashley Architects are delighted to have collaborated with Hugh Broughton and the Dockyard Preservation Trust on this inspirational project.
