On Friday 6^th December, Stone Federation hosted the 22^nd Natural Stone Awards Ceremony at London’s Leonardo Royal Tower Bridge Hotel. Taking place every two years, the Natural Stone Awards celebrates the best examples of the use of natural stone in construction projects from across all sectors of the industry, from cladding and external masonry to interiors, and from landscapes through to restoration work.

Sheerness Dockyard Church came Highly Commended in the Repair & Restoration (Commercial) Category.

The final building is excellent. The reconstructed cantilevered staircase in the vestibule exhibits a high degree of workmanship and the patching is appropriate and consistent with the way in which the restoration has been treated. It is a completely honest and faithful restoration, with absolutely no attempt to hide or disguise the condition of the original facade.
