Erecting a temporary roof structure over the complex form of Wakehurst‘s Mansion House, requires a feat of scaffold engineering to span the distances and heights involved.

The enclosed scaffold structure lets us access unique views of the building and gives us a close up look at the beautiful gutter detailing and Horsham stone roof slates.

Now that the lower roofs are weather protected, this week saw Martin, Ellen and Zanna visit site to watch DBR commence the careful removal of the Horsham stone slates.
