Eton College: success at the 2018 Stone Federation Natural Stone Awards
Our work on the historic School Yard paving scheme at Eton College has been named as winner in the landscaping category at the Stone Federation’s Natural Stone Awards 2018.
The Stone Federation celebrates the excellence of design in natural stone projects from across the industry. The Natural Stone Awards has established itself as the most prestigious event in the natural stone calendar, with work being submitted from all over the British Isles. The awards jury’s citation reads as follows: “This is a true restoration programme, historically correct and very scholarly executed. The new paving in both colour and tone works well with the surrounding buildings”.

We are delighted that the Stone Federation award has recognised the dedication, research and hard work that went into this prestigious project by the Martin Ashley Architects team (Martin Ashley, Aleksandra Zenfa and Mandy Lorenz) working in close collaboration with the client team at Eton College and the highly skilled contractors, PAYE Stonework and Conservation.
