Careers

Senior Conservation Architect/Surveyor

Due to our continued success and healthy workload we are looking for an ambitious senior conservation architect/surveyor to join our busy team. An ideal candidate would be AABC/RICS conservation accredited, and possess: a passion for historic building conservation, project leading experience, excellent project management skills and a keen attention to detail.

We are a small, dedicated team of specialist historic building conservation architects and surveyors with a particular passion for working directly with skilled traditional craftspeople and developing close working relationships with longstanding clients. Our clients include the Royal Household, Historic Royal Palaces, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, and the Old Royal Naval College, amongst many important others, and as such MAA’s work portfolio consists almost entirely of buildings of international significance.

At MAA we have flexible remote working policies, with team members generally dividing their time between working from home, out on sites throughout London and the Southeast, at co-working spaces throughout London and at our practice hub based in Twickenham.

We are modernising our working practices, terms/benefits, and there is a genuine opportunity to help shape the future of the practice as part of a close-knit team dedicated to the conservation of historic buildings.

MAA are committed to continuing training for team members and are encouraging of practical hands-on conservation experience in the development of conservation knowledge. We offer a flexible and generous policy for CPD/training, as we believe such training benefits the careers of conservation professionals and can build better relationships with skilled conservation contractors. MAA will actively help arrange training and development in any areas of interest for our successful candidate.

With a generous salary and benefits package, as well as an exciting future for the practice, this is a unique opportunity for the right candidate.
